The size is perfect for eating curry or soup. On cold days, using a wooden spoon makes hot food feel even warmer. There is a village of neem cutlery producers deep in the mountains, a three-hour drive from Kolkata, India. The tableware, made from a highly medicinal wood also known as "miracle neem," adds warmth to the dining table with its natural texture. This is a fair trade product made in partnership with the fair trade NGO Sasha.

■About color fading ・After washing with detergent or soaking in hot soup, the color of the wood may come off and stain the fabric. It is the natural color of the wood and is not an artificial paint. It is not harmful to the human body, so please use it with confidence. (There is a possibility of color fading even if it is soaked in water for a long time.) ・Dishwashers and dryers use high-temperature water to wash the wood, which can surprise it and make it white and rough, lose its luster, and deteriorate quickly.
■For long-term use ・The surface of cutlery made from natural materials will become rough over time. This cannot be prevented as it is not coated, but the texture and color can be restored by caring for it. <How to maintain> ・Before use, soak it in water and wipe it with a dry cloth before use. It can be washed with dishwashing detergent. After washing, wipe off the water immediately, dry it thoroughly, and store it away from direct sunlight. To restore the luster, apply a thin layer of olive oil or other edible oil about once every six months. (This product is finished with mustard oil.) If it becomes stained or cracked, sand it with sandpaper and apply oil.
